The Class of 2025 graduation ceremony was a powerful and emotional moment for our school community — a celebration of the journeys, challenges, and triumphs that brought each student to this defining milestone.
Surrounded by proud families, teachers, staff, and friends, our graduates walked the stage with a sense of confidence and excitement. Each diploma represented not just academic achievement, but years of growth, resilience, and shared experiences. The room was filled with pride and admiration as we watched this exceptional group prepare to take their next steps into the world.
The event unfolded with grace and energy. Our secondary students opened the ceremony with heartfelt musical performances that set a reflective tone for the day. Throughout the program, a number of students were recognized for their achievements — not only in academics but for the strength of character and commitment to our school values they displayed throughout their time at United Lisbon. One of the most meaningful moments came with the presentation of the United Award, a distinction reserved for a student who has shown remarkable dedication, excellence, and a positive impact on our community.
We were privileged to welcome two guest speakers who brought unique perspectives to the occasion. Stephan, founder of Indico, spoke with honesty and warmth about his journey as an entrepreneur, offering insights on taking risks, learning from failure, and staying true to one’s purpose. Jonas, from the senior volleyball team at Sporting, brought a message rooted in discipline, teamwork, and perseverance, reminding our students that success is about much more than individual achievement.
What made the ceremony truly special, however, were the voices of our own graduates. Several students took time to reflect on what their years at United Lisbon had meant — the lessons learned, the people who shaped their paths, and the memories that will stay with them. These reflections, personal and heartfelt, reminded everyone in the room why education is ultimately about connection, growth, and becoming who we are meant to be.
As they now await the outcome of their IB exams and university offers from institutions across Europe, the UK, the USA, and beyond, we stand beside them with immense pride. This group of young people leaves United Lisbon not only with strong academic foundations, but with open minds, compassionate hearts, and the confidence to shape the future.
